QG Cloud

QG Cloud enables you to expand and contract your IT infrastructure on demand, eliminating the need to purchase excess capacity and effectively reducing both operating costs and capital expenditure. Our secure hosted QG Cloud platform delivers compute capacity, data storage and network capabilities that have been specifically designed for the broad requirements of government, whilst our self-service web interface ensures that agencies are able to exert a high degree of control over their cloud services.

Available in three delivery options, QG Cloud resides in managed data centres, ensuring high availability, low latency, rigid security, perpetual data-sovereignty and Brisbane-based cloud specialist support.

Block File and Object
A single tier (fast), all flash block storage solution on full native NVMe-accelerated storage arrays.

Its fast IO characteristics make block storage ideal for low latency and performance-critical workloads.

Block storage is the most commonly used storage type for most applications and is accessed via Storage Area Network (SAN) environments.

A tier of storage that is used for file and object data.

File storage stores and retrieves files using file-based access protocols. This type of storage manages data using a hierarchical system to organise files in directories and sub-directories. It is well suited for infrequently accessed data such as file shares, archival files and in some instances can be used as data protection targets.

Object-based storage manages data as objects. It bundles the data, along with customisable metadata tags and a unique identifier together. This type of storage is good for data that needs to scale up to petabytes and beyond such as unstructured data, storage for backup files, database dumps etc.

Mainframe

CITEC manages IBM Mainframe environments on behalf of our clients. The IBM Mainframe is a large-scale server consolidation system that handles heavy workloads, it can consolidate diverse workloads at high levels of system utilisation without impacting performance. With decades of in-house expertise, CITEC is well positioned to support clients who utilise this widely-used operating system designed to deliver a stable, secure and highly available environment. The system supports virtualisation, workload management and very large I/O throughput whilst ensuring the key requirements of resiliency, scalability and speed are achieved.
